Google recently added an annoying feature called “Google Instant”. When it is enabled, the search results update as you type. A few days after adding this feature, they added a way to disable it. Just go to “Search settings” and select “Do not use Google Instant”. There are many cases where AJAX is helpful, but this isn’t one of them, so I was glad when Google added the disable option.

One newish feature worth using is Google SSL, which allows a kinda secure connection.
