We have now had skiable snow for two weeks. I have been skiing at Fox Island most days. The light dustings of snow since the first snow have been just enough to keep the trails fresh. Today, the first really good snow of the winter is falling. The NWS is calling for ten inches of snow! It looks like I will have at least one more week of skiing this winter.

Last week I was able to add the Northern Mockingbird to the recent sightings board at Fox Island. The Northern Mockingbird usually isn't this far north in February. This is only the second time I have been able to add a bird to the list without someone telling me they saw it the previous week.
