What a good week. Winter finally came. Early Tuesday we got the first real (skiable) snow in over thirteen months. I spent the week running the nordic ski rentals at Fox Island. It is fun to maintain the ski trails and teach people how to ski. Fortunately, only one person ignored the signs and walked on the trails. I caught her early enough that she didn't go too far into the woods. I was able to repair the damage in fifteen minutes. I spent a couple hours skiing with a snow shovel to repair thin spots on the trails. Now that the snow is packed, it is getting fast. If the snow predicted for this week comes, the snow will be about perfect.
