Last night I TAed an observatory open house at Taylor University's observatory. Even with the moon almost full, I was able to show Jupiter and Saturn. In three hours, at least fifty guests came through the observatory. There were about thirty people waiting outside the door ten minutes before the posted opening time. The crowd didn't slow down for an hour and a half. A few minutes later it started again. It was an amazing night. People are incredibly interested in Saturn's rings and Jupiter's moons.
