There are three waterfalls in the park: Muddy Creek Falls, and Upper and Lower Swallow Falls. At 53 feet tall, Muddy Creek Falls is the highest in Maryland. Parts of the Upper and Lower Swallow Falls form natural waterslides. On warm afternoons, the park is crowded with people playing in the falls, rock hopping, and swimming in the pools of the Youghiogheny River. I got up early and was able to enjoy the falls before the crowds came. I took some pictures, mostly playing around with infrared and combined visual and infrared images.
